Are you ready for the start of the NBA Playoffs? It is going to be a playoffs that are far different than any other playoffs we have seen in the past. From the Boston Celtics losing Kyrie Irving for the rest of the season and all of the playoffs to the Houston Rockets chances at a championship and if someone has a chance of beating the juggernaut super team, Golden State Warriors.

Early thoughts from many analysts believe that in the eastern conference the Raptors, 76ers, and Cavaliers will advance to the 2nd round. However, the series between the Celtics and Bucks will be a challenging one for Boston without star point guard Kyrie Irving and having to match up against Milwaukee’s superstar small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. In the western conference, most believe that the Rockets and Warriors will advance to the 2nd round. While Portland has been playing very well as of recently, the star power of Pelicans all-star power forward Anthony Davis may be enough to lift the underdog Pelicans over the Trail Blazers in 6 or 7 games. On the Oklahoma City side of things, the Thunder might be a lock to win this series purely based off of the star power the Thunder possess with Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony. However, don’t count out the Jazz out. With help from rookie guard Donovan Mitchell who leads the team in scoring to veterans like Ricky Rubio and Derrick Favors, the Jazz may be able to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the first rounds.
